The Place Where Martyr Ma Shitu Was Murdered
It's located at the northern part of the central urban area of Qiqihar City, in the yard of Qiqihar City No.2 Hospital. It was an independent lofty house before, which was built in the end of Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, with a building area of 357 ©O. It was once the dormitory of Chairman Yu Yifu of Nenjiang Provincial Government in December 1945. The reactionary officer Zhao Yueshan of Kuomintang sneaked into the yard together with his accomplice, some secret agents from the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics of the Military Council of Kuomintang, late at night on December 24, 1945 and intended to assassinate Chairman Yu Yifu, but mistakenly broke into the room of the Acting Secretary General Ma Shitu of Nenjiang Provincial Government. Ma Shitu bravely fought back to shield his leader and comrade in arms and died courageously while only 42 years old.
Qiqihar Municipal Government designated this place where the martyr was murdered as The Municipal Level Cultural Relic Protection Unit and the Patriotic Education Base, in order to commemorate the martyr and educate the offsprings.
Cemetery of Soviet Union Red Army Martyrs
Cemetery of Soviet Union Red Army Martyrs is located at the north of Ang'angxi Railway Station, Qiqihar City, which was built on August 15, 1949, to commemorate and recall the former Soviet Union Red Army soldiers who gloriously died in August 1945 in China. . The cemetery mainly consists of 1 Soviet Union Red Army Martyr Monument and 16 martyr graves. The cemetery is buried with totally 126 Soviet Union Red Army Martyrs.

The Soviet Union Red Army Martyr Monument is seated at the eastern part of the cemetery, it's 8 m high, a statue of a Soviet Union Red Army soldier with a steel helmet on his head and a submachine gun on his back is standing on the top of the monument, holding high an ensign in a bravely forwarding position. The foundation of the monument has 5 steps of stone stairs, and there are relief sculptures of the Soviet Union Red Army in the northeast liberation battle on the surroundings of the foundation. The national emblem of Soviet Union is respectively sculpted on the eastern and western sides of the monument body, the epigraphs of The Soviet Union Red Army martyrs who died for the liberation of northeast from the oppression of the Japanese imperialists are eternally immortal! and Those Soviet Union people who sacrificed for the liberation of the northeastern people from the Japanese imperialist shackles will never be forgotten by the Chinese people! are enchased on the monument.
Some people voluntarily come to the cemetery to pay respect to the martyrs every year and to commemorate their sacrifices for the Anti-Fascist World War and for the liberation of northeastern people from the cruel oppression of the Japanese imperialists. Now the cemetery has become the base for patriotic education. It's ranked to be The Municipal Level Cultural Relic Protection Unit by Qiqihar Municipal Government in 1987.

. Cemetery of Ximan Revolutionary is the first cemetery in the northeastern liberation area of China, which is famous for its early establishment, large scale and large number of martyrs buried.
The construction of Cemetery of Ximan Revolutionary Martyrs was formally completed on April 4, 1948 and a ceremonious completion ceremony was held. More than 30,000 people from various provinces and cities of Ximan, consisting of party members, government functionaries, army soldiers and citizens gathered at Cemetery of Ximan Revolutionary Martyrs on April 5 to ceremoniously hold the burying and mourning for the revolutionary martyrs, and the main leaders from Ximan Branch Bureau and Ximan Military Area personally buried the heroic martyrs. The inscribed board of Cemetery of Ximan Revolutionary Martyrs personally inscribed by Huang Kecheng hangs high on the front gate. Chairman Mao Zedong inscribed the epigraph of Communism is insurmountable, a single spark can start a prairie fire, long live those dead martyrs! for the cemetery and Commander-in-chief Zhu De inscribed the epigraph of A noble spirit that will never perish for the cemetery. 608 martyrs are buried and bestowed at the cemetery, including Representative Yang Daohe of the Seventh People's Congress of CPC, Liaoji Hero Ma Renxing, Feng Kewu and Lv Mingren who once participated the December 9 Students National Salvation Movement , the people's artist Wang Dahua, the Acting Secretary General Ma Shitu of Nenjiang Province, and so on. 168 revolutionary martyrs are buried at the cemetery area, the ashes of 107 revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed in the War to U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea and Counterattack in Self-Defence in Zhenbao Island and the heroes who dedicated their lives for saving the state properties during socialist construction period and the spirit tablets of 333 martyrs are bestowed in the revolutionary martyrs mourning hall. There are 1 collective martyr's monument and 4 individual monuments and statues in the cemetery.

reception room is newly built at the eastern part of the cemetery under approval from the Municipal and Provincial Government in July 1984. Cemetery of Ximan Revolutionary Martyrs was approved to be the Key Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Building Protection Unit in October 1988 by Heilongjiang Provincial Government. It was designated to be Key Patriotic Education Base in 1995 by National Ministry of Civil Affairs and it was designated to be National Key Protection Unit in June 1996 by the State Council of China. |
