Crane City Stadium

        Crane City Stadium is located at the north of Qiqihar City Worker's Cultural Palace, which was rebuilt and altered in June 1984 based on the former municipal level large ice sports ground constructed in 1956, and the construction was completed on September 5, 1985 and it's named as Crane City Stadium. The stadium is frame construction, which covers 35000 ©O , with ground area of more than 17900 ©O and total building area of 14285 ©O . The main building is 4-storeyed, the east and west wing buildings are respectively 2-storeyed and the south building is 3-storeyed. There are step cement stands in the stadium, which could hold 15000 audiences with 24 ladder stairs respectively in south and north. There is a large 82-m-long cantilever light aluminum alloy board sunproof canopy over the rostrum. There are 8 Camy standard plastic raceways and track and field grounds and football court in the stadium, with sewers in surroundings. There are offices, large and small meeting rooms, rest rooms, gymnasiums and all kinds of facilities in the buildings.

        With the gradually perfection of various functions, Crane City Stadium is suitable for holding provincial and municipal level, national and international level sports games, large performances and celebration activities, which has become the center of Qiqihar City for holding key important cultural and sports events.


Qiqihar Circus Group

        Qiqihar Circus Group was first built in 1952, which is one of the famous large circus and acrobatics performance groups of China. This group is good at performing breathtaking aerial acrobatic programs, traditional acrobatic programs with highly difficult skills and circus and animal taming programs, whose performances possess rich Chinese national style and strong bold and unconstrained north China characteristics. The group has been touring more than 100 cities of 25 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and so on since their adoption of the canopy performance form in 1953; the group has also been to DPRK, Vietnam, Canada, America, Australia, Japan, France, Germany, Tanzania, Mexico, Spain and so on, over 30 countries and areas of 6 continents for visiting performances and commercial performances with great success and has won honors for the country and the hometown.   

        The talents in the group have come forth in large numbers, and the programs has been constantly innovated and improved. The acrobatic programs Aerial Swing, Aerial Gymnastics, Suspended Rope Walking and Bamboo Pole Playing, etc have won numerous honors on acrobatic competitions at home and abroad. This group has participated the starring of more than 10 movies of New Programs of Circus, Merry Making, Spring Swallow and Flying Dragon and Dancing Phoenix and so on. Qiqihar Circus Group has become a Business Card of Qiqihar and has played a unique role in disseminating the hometown and improving the reputation of Qiqihar at home and abroad.

SOS Children's Village Qiqihar China

        SOS Children's Village Qiqihar China is located at the western part of the urban area of Qiqihar City, which covers 37000 ©O . Its construction was completed in March 1992 under investment from International SOS International Children's Village Organization. It's a social welfare institution unit to adopt and educate orphans in the family form. The building complex of the village mainly consists of 15 houses, 1 nursery, 3 youth apartments and 1 service center with total building area of 5500 ©O .

        The tenet of SOS Children's Village is to offer an excellent mother and a new permanent family for the children who have lost parents and families. The village focuses on fostering, education and management, and adopts various effective measures to conscientiously solve the clothing, food, dwelling and traveling for the children, with family at the core. According to the requirements of China Children's Village Council, this children's village mainly adopts healthy orphans less than 7-year-old from the urban and rural areas of the four provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia. At present, there are 158 children, 15 mothers, 5 aunts and 12 staffs in the village.

        The children divided into 15 families of the entire village are living in a healthy and enterprising environment. The children's village develops various cultural and sports activities as well besides providing a favorable cultural quality education and pays attention to cultivate their allround interests and to cultivate the children's overall development of ethnics, intellect and athletics.

Qiqihar City Comprehensive Stadium


        A crane-shaped building inlaid with blue glazing that fully exhibits the modern consciousness is standing against the grand Qiqihar City CCP Administration Center, on the bank of the beautiful Nenjiang River. It's the Qiqihar City Comprehensive Stadium which signifies the flying sports cause in Crane City.

        The total investment for Qiqihar City Comprehensive Stadium is more than 30 million Yuan RMB, which was started to construct in August 1998 in order to meet the requirement of sponsoring The 9 th Provincial Games of Heilongjiang and the foundation work was entirely completed in 1998. The project was suspended in 1999 for capital shortage and other reasons. The project construction was restarted on April 1, 2002 and was completed and delivered for use in July 2003.
